Tuscaloosa, al
Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where this movement proved it could grow.
Back in 2023, Christopher Kollme, Ebbie Stutts, Preston Ewing and Bella Collins rallied a group of students in the heart of Alabama for what became our very first expansion campus. The goal was simple: carry the mission beyond Athens.
But what happened that night was anything but ordinary. A packed crowd. A campus buzzing with energy. Students stepping into leadership. Families leaning in. And a whole community standing up to fight something most folks are still scared to say out loud: suicide.
That first event in Tuscaloosa was a spark — and it lit the path for what would become TFAS Wellness Weeks across the South.
Crimson Commitment
Tuscaloosa, this night meant something deeper.
On February 26th, 2026, we gathered for more than just a fight: we came together for a cause that touches every campus and community. The energy built in every moment was shared between friends and strangers who all came for the same reason. The atmosphere was electric. The crowd was engaged. The purpose behind every punch was clear.
Our fighters showed courage stepping into the ring, committing to something bigger than themselves. Our volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes, making sure every detail reflected the heart of this mission. And every supporter, whether you bought a ticket, made a donation, spread the word, or simply showed up, played a role in making the night what it was.
This event was a powerful reminder that Tuscaloosa stands behind suicide prevention. It showed that when a community rallies together with intention, real change is possible.
Tuscaloosa, thank you for standing with The Fight Against Suicide.
